Today was kind of a cool day..meeting with vendors, checking up with friends and relatives around the US. Huge snowstorm on the eastern seaboard, possibly in the top three of all time! My cousins in Delaware posted images that would make the Olympic Commitee in Vancouver jealous! Hoping the Olympics are a huge success..especially for the Americans and our fellow Bendites. As I looked out our dining room window to our hibernating garden, I realized how beautiful the yard looked, very monochromatic and it inspired me so much that I just had to grab my camera and capture the feeling. Recently I have been shooting some B&W portraits and it really took me back to my old days in film, working in the darkroom at our home and watching with anticipation as the image appeared. The texture, contrast and patterns are something you just don't see with color. I plan on doing more...
We're in!
We're still pinching ourselves! Are we really on the world wide web now? Thanks to all our family, friends, colleagues and clients for their comments and well wishes! More good news..we've just been accepted as the newest members of the High Desert Professionals business networking group. Great organization, postive energetic membership. We are quite honored to have been accepted. Special thanks to Dawn Cofer of Bank of the Cascades and David Thorne of Deschutes Gift Baskets for their recommendation!
DORNBUSCH PHOTOGRAPHY GOES LIVE!!!!
Is it all just a dream? Or do we finally have our own WEBSITE and this SUPER COOL BLOG????
We have to admit that the on-line storefront worked fine for awhile and still will for our event coverage, but now is the time to showcase our portraiture: Seniors, Families, Children and Babies, Professional and Weddings
We locked ourselves in our office for so many days that our next door neighbors called to see if we were still alive! Our dogs Sam, Buddy and Cocoa did their best to get our attention but we just stuffed our earplugs in further. Nothing was going stand in our way to meet our deadline to get the site live by the end of January. Dear readers . . . . setting deadlines is a good idea. . . . at least for us. It left no room for procrastination. The manana theory was tossed out the window!
This has been a labor of love, blood, sweat and tears! Even though we spent many, many hours on the website, we still found time to get out and do some good things for the community with our photography.
